Tasanee Durrett
Storyteller of Visual Stories

"Each of us has a story. I use drawings to portray stories that evoke memories and engage moments. Every story I tell exposes knowledge that may or may not have been known before. I am a one-line artist, meaning I use one continuous line to create my pieces. Why one-line art? Because there is a certain beauty in minimalist storytelling that lacks the attention that it deserves. My motivation for my current series called ""Crown"" stems from the mis-representation of Black women's hair in today's society and the fight for the decriminalization of Black hair and Black representation."
